Fishing & Hunting

Fishing Charters
Prince of Wales has a reputation for world-class fishing!  The waters around Naukati teem with Kings, Sockeye, Coho, and Pink salmon, as well as halibut, red snapper, and king cod.  If you prefer freshwater fishing, our rivers are some of the most pristine in the world; you can catch steelhead, rainbow, cutthroat, and brook trout.

Fishing

Hunting
Prince of Wales Island has some of the largest black bears in North America.  Bear hunts are unguided; you can hunt the road system, or go to one of the many islands in our area.

The Alaska Department of Fish & Game publishes information on hunting and fishing licenses here.
